Wix Hosted Newform Challenge
The Challenge
PokeOrb was imagined as a futuristic “what-if” Pokémon universe where creature ecosystems, engineered Pokéballs, and speculative industries coexist inside a realistic sci-fi world. The challenge was to reinterpret nostalgic anime culture through a cinematic industrial design lens while still preserving the playful identity of Pokémon.
The Solution
I designed a dark solarpunk-inspired interactive experience combining realistic creature renders, futuristic Pokéball engineering concepts, holographic UI systems, animated stat cards, marketplace-inspired layouts, and speculative worldbuilding. The website explored Pokémon as biological entities rather than cartoons, presenting them through collectible archives, industrial manufacturing systems, and advanced containment technologies.
The interface blended gaming aesthetics with cinematic product design, using sharp typography, neon-accented UI panels, rotating engineering diagrams, and immersive motion interactions to create the feeling of browsing a classified futuristic PokéTech corporation.
The Result
The project stood out for its originality, high-detail visual direction, and ambitious reinterpretation of a globally recognized anime franchise into a believable sci-fi ecosystem. The experience was recognized for pushing fan-inspired design into a more cinematic and industrial storytelling format.
🏆 Awarded 2nd Place in the Anime Theme Website Challenge for futuristic worldbuilding, interactive sci-fi art direction, and immersive Pokémon reinterpretation.
